Ex-Priests and Ex-Nuns belonging to Syro-Malabar Church joined together at Kochi in a National Conference organized by Kerala Catholic Reformation Movement (KCRM) and have formed a National Organization, KCRM -Priests, Ex-priests, Nuns Association.

The Convention called at St. Francis Nagar, Palarivattom Kochi on 28th Feb 2015, was inaugurated by Prof. M V Mathai. KCRM State secretary Shri KK Jose Kandathil presented certificates of honour to all the ex-clergy individuals present on the occasion. The convention discussed in detail the difficulties that these ex-clergy individuals face in the society and decided to establish special shelters to accommodate everybody. The Convention also decided to fight for their rights as citizens of India. The conference vehemently criticized the present Church practise of recruiting aspirants at a premature age of 15years. Fr. John Kochumuttom, Shri George Moolechalil, Fr John Kavalakkatt, Shri. Paul Ankamali, Fr John K Thekkedam, Shri Joseph Velivil, Fr. K P Shibu, Adv. Varghese Parampil, Sr. Maria Thomas, Sr. Anitta, Sr Molly, Prof. mathai, Shri. Samuvel Koodal, Adv. Cherian Jose Karuparampil, Antony babychen and Miss. Cisili Thomas addressed the meeting.

    It is a great movement. The priestly class need reformation, Somebody has to start acting somewhere. You have hit the bulls eye. Great job. 

    The sexual anaarchy in the church in kerala is unacceptable. It is bereft of christ.
