Francis told the prelates in his Christmas message: “The faith in Europe and in much of the West is no longer an obvious presumption but is often denied, derided, marginalized and ridiculed…Today we are no longer the only ones that produce culture, no longer the first nor the most listened to.”
He cited the late Cardinal Carlo Maria Martini died in 2012, a leader of the progressive wing of the Catholic Church, who in his final interview before dying in 2012 lamented that the church found itself “200 years behind” because of its inbred fear of change. Francis and Walter Kasper were members of that “st.Gallen progressive group in Sweitzerland”. This group was responsible for getting ‘Francis’ elected as Pope.
Vicious Rigidity!
On Rigidity pope told the Bishops: “Here we have to beware of the temptation of assuming a rigid outlook, Rigidity that is born from fear of change and ends up disseminating stakes and obstacles in the ground of the common good, turning it into a minefield of misunder-standing and hatred.”
People who take rigid positions are usually using them to mask their own problems, scandals or “imbalances. Rigidity and imbalance fuel one another in a vicious circle,” and these days, the temptation to rigidity has become so apparent….“Tradition is not static, it’s dynamic.”
Pope Denounced
But the rigid Traditionalist Catholics have denounced Francis’ emphasis on mercy and openness to doctrinal wiggle room on issues such as sacraments for divorced and civilly remarried Catholics. They also sharply criticized his recent synod on the Amazon, which called for the ordination of married men as priests, and what they considered pagan worship of an Amazonian statue of a pregnant woman that was featured during the meeting.
Cardinal-post for 5 years!
In a tangible sign of change, Francis issued a new decree Saturday limiting the term of the dean of the College of Cardinals, an influential job that had previously been held for life. Francis accepted the resignation of the current dean, Cardinal Angelo Sodano, and decreed that going forward, the future top cardinal would only have a five-year renewable term.
Cardinal Sodano & Mexican Maciel!
Sodano had been the powerful secretary of state under St. John Paul II, and was blamed in part for the Vatican’s refusal to crack down on pedophile priests, including the notorious Mexican Rev. Marcial Maciel. Sodano, 92, continued to wield behind-the-scenes influence in the two papacies that followed, acting most recently as something of a beacon for conservative opposition to Francis. As dean, he delivered his final Christmas greeting to Francis last Saturday.
Marcial Maciel: Mexican founder Legionaries of Christ 'abused 60 minors'. He founded the Legionaries of Christ in 1941, 33 priests in the order abused at least 175 minors since it was founded in 1941. Maciel died at the age of 87 without facing his accusers, he had also fathered several children.
Vigano & Burke
Pope Francis is now blamed by Rigid traditionalists led by Vigano and Cardinal Burke, for what happened during the time of two previous Popes and for being ‘Merciful’ and open to change admitting civilly married to sacraments and priesthood for the married.
Just one quote from Vigano: Pope said: doctrine of Mary as co-redemptrix is “nonsense.” And the blunt retort of Archbishop Viganò: “The tragic story of this failed pontificate advances with a pressing succession of twists and turns. Not a day passes: from the most exalted throne the Supreme Pontiff proceeds to dismantle the See of Peter, using and abusing its supreme authority, not to confess but to deny; not to confirm but to mislead; not to unite but to divide; not to build but to demolish. Material heresies, formal heresies, idolatry, superficiality of every kind.” That is Vigano’s proof, Francis is a ‘Heretic’.
Listen to Bible and the enlightened!
Bible says: “In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God.” Jesus himself adds: “I and the Father are One, one who has seen me has seen the Father.” To the woman at the well he said: “Not on that mountain or this, not in that temple or this, but worship God in spirit and truth in the cave of your heart.”
What does he mean except, you are temples of God, find and worship him, the whole of God, not just part or spark of Him, within you, not outside! You are the only God, one without a second, or gods as many worship in different names, are due to darkness, ignorance, Maya, all of which are unreal?
Vivekananda and Narayana Guru!
And what does Vedanta mean when it says: “Ekam Sat Vipra Bahuda Vadanti!”: Swami Vivekananda defines it thus: “The essence of Vedanta is that there is but one Being and that every soul is that Being in full, not a part of that Being.”
What did Narayana Guru mean when he said: , ‘One Caste, One Religion and One God for humankind’ and installed a mirror to look in and worship, except that God is within you, nay, you yourself, identical with God fully? To know yourself first is to know God?
