God Listens to Our Cries… Rome for action against Endogamy Rule of Kottayam Diocese.

Sri Biju Uthup, Managing Secretary, Oravanakalam Charitable Trust, ORCHART who had been spearheading the Knanaya laymen movement against the cruel family splitting decision of the three Bishops (Mar Alanchery, Mar Moolekkat and Mar Angadiyath) over pure blood is finally heard by Vatican. He has received official letter from Vatican. It is learnt that if the allegations forwarded  by Sri Biju is found true, Vatican is likely to forbid these Bishops from applying this law.

Shri Biju Uthup is just one among the many Knanites who fervently continues praying for a reasonable solution to their long withheld in house cruelty against non-endogamists within. Shri Biju says that this letter from Rome has come as a miracle and he believes that God has heard his cries. He wrote to CCV:

“Dear All,
I want to narrate a Miracle that happened today due to a family prayer said yesterday. Yesterday I dedicated and started to recite a family prayer that I wrote with the inspiration of my brother-in-law Mr. Cyriac Parathara. The prayer that I wrote is attached in this mail (pdf & word version). I lit the candle and said the prayer attached.
The miracle that happened is that I got a letter from Rome today stating that the Congregation of Oriental Churches has created a file regarding my petition dated 30th March, for the Holy See to take a decision regarding the petition. They wanted from me additional documents to complete the file before showing it to the Holy See. The additional documents are:
1. The copy of the book "Blood Weddings"
2. The Code of Oriental Cannon Law that Kottayam Diocese is violating while practicing endogamy
 

They want these documents before taking a decision forbidding Kottayam Diocese from practicing strict endogamy.
Now all this happened after I started lighting a candle at home and reciting the attached family prayer. Though the prayer is a bit long, Though the prayer is a bit long, it took me only 5 minutes to finish reciting the prayer. Now this miracle happened after my family started to recite this prayer. Now imagine what can be achieved if all KCNS, families of KANA and families KCRM recited this prayer everyday from today till completion of the Ordinary Synod of Bishops in October, 2015. We can achieve the impossible with the power of prayer.
So I urge all families who are concerned with putting an end to the endogamous practice of the Kottayam diocese to recite this prayer as your family prayer till October this year.  I will guarantee you that what we have never imagined possible will take place in the form of a Decree from Rome for ending the practice of endogamy by Kottayam Diocese.
Believe and you shall be rewarded according to your faith. All you require is the faith as small as the mustard seed.

                                        A family prayer for freedom from the bondage of Endogamy

Lord Jesus, we the victims of the practice of endogamy within the Catholic Church along with relatives and friends who are affected by their sufferings plead for your intervention to end our sufferings and pain. How long do we have to suffer humiliation and discrimination and expulsion from our parish? How long do we have to hold protest rallies, write petitions, memorandum and file cases in court to end our sufferings and pain? Lord Jesus, you listened to the prayers of the Jews being persecuted by the Egyptian pharaoh by sending Moses to free them from the bondage of slavery. Send us also a savior to set us free from the bondage of endogamy and to plead our cause to the Holy See in Rome during the Vatican Family Synod in October 2015.

Lord Jesus, we are tired and disheartened by the silence of our shepherds in Kerala and all over the world who do not seem to be interested in our sufferings nor take any action regarding our petitions and pleas. Not one of the Bishops or Cardinals called or summoned us to listen to our suffering with a view to end this sufferings and set the faithful free from the bondage of the practice of endogamy by Kottayam Diocese. This cancer, of the Catholic Church, is being exported all over the world, as a missionary work through the Catholic Church by the Diocese. Instead of preventing this cancer from spreading they all wash of their hands just like Pilot and say that the problem is not theirs and that it is in the hands of the Holy See in Rome. When we knock at the door of CBCI president’s office in Trivandrum, they wash of their hand conveniently by saying that our issue is to be decided by Rome.

Lord Jesus, how do we trust our Bishops & Cardinals who do not even want to listen to our sufferings and considered like untouchables by the priestly class when we raise such issues to them? Lord Jesus it was by your grace and call that they left their own families and pledged to become your servants to serve us as priests & Bishops. Today we see that they have become a priestly class like the Pharisees not interested in ending our sufferings. Today they are more interested in building palatial churches trying to compete with Vatican churches in Rome. They pretend to wash the feet of lay people on Holy Thursday but on all other days they shut their eyes to the sufferings of those who are victimized for non-endogamous marriages.

Lord Jesus put an end to our sufferings once and for all, during the forthcoming Vatican Family Synod in October 2015. Let your servants in Rome include an agenda on the practice of endogamy within the Universal Catholic Church. It was through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit that the Pope organized and held the extraordinary Synod of Bishops in 2014 and is continuing the same with the Ordinary Synod of Bishops in October this year.  May this synod be blessed through the prayers of all Catholics all over the world? Lord Jesus send us a savior, to plead for our petitions and memorandums. We pray that our answers to questionnaire that that we send to Rome through Apostolic Pro Nuncio in New Delhi to Cardinal Baldisseri is read during the Synod.  There will be many shepherds in Kerala who will try to suppress our petitions and pleas as it is against their agenda to discontinue the practice of endogamy within the Syro-Malabar Church of Kottayam Diocese in Kerala.

Lord Jesus give strength to your true servants like, Archbishop Bharanikulangara of Faridabad Diocese, who has been the only champion of our cause from the clergy. Archbishop publicly supported us and stated that practice of endogamy is against the teachings of Jesus Christ. Lord Jesus we want you to bless and anoint his Grace as our savior to speak for us during the forthcoming ordinary Synod of Bishops. Lord Jesus we pray that you give the necessary strength to His Grace to speak the truth about this issue on our behalf as you gave to St Stephen while he was stoned to death.  Lord Jesus protect his Grace, from the attacks of the fanatic members of Kottayam diocese for this public stand of his.  Lord Jesus we also believe that there are many Bishops who silently support our cause but are afraid to openly speak about it. Give these Bishops the courage and strength to speak the truth openly in public and to give their views during the ordinary Synod of Bishops so that the evil practice of endogamy is put to an end.

Lord Jesus we pray that you bless all the organizer of the ordinary synod of Bishops in Rome. We pray very especially for Cardinal Baldisseri, the secretary for the synod so that he may consider & put up the family problems of all the people in the world without ignoring anyone. We pray for the Holy Father so that he may do the will of the Father in heaven and to be able to listen to the problems of the families all over the world including our problem. May you grand the Holy Father the wisdom to listen like King Solomon to these problems so that His Holiness can take bold decisions for these problems. 

We believe Lord Jesus that you are a resurrected and the living Jesus listening and answering the prayers of the faithful. We believe that you are alive and care more for our sufferings and problems than our Bishops and Cardinals.

Lord Jesus you who know and have compassion for our sufferings, whisper to the ears of the Holy Father and make His Holiness aware of our sufferings. Grant His Holiness the wisdom and strength to take wise decisions after listening to our problems during the ordinary Synod of Bishops. Give the Holy Father the courage and strength to announce decrees, which will put an end to the practice of endogamy through the machinery of the Holy Catholic Church.  Ban all dioceses all over the world from practicing this evil Christian practice of church sponsored endogamy.

We the victims, relatives and friends of those who have been expelled from Kottayam Diocese and a few within the diocese who are being threatened, persecuted and not granted their sacramental rights by Kottayam diocese make this prayer through our Lord Jesus Christ.
