Dear James,

I am writing to you with an urgent request. Last week, the Madras High Court stayed a recent government order cancelling Greenpeace India Society's registration. While the courts have favoured us six times in a row, our fight for survival continues and your help will make a difference

Across the world, freedom of speech and the right to question powerful people and groups is at risk. The United Nations helps protect these rights so ordinary people can speak out and find solutions to the problems facing our planet.James, we don’t have much time. We want to take your messages supporting free speech to the UN to celebrate Human Rights Day (10th December) this year!

Ask UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to support free speech in India

We have always been confident that the courts are behind us. It is this belief and the support of people like YOU that makes us more determined to safeguard the rights of Indian environment and people.

More than 1 lakh people from around the world have already signed up to ask the Secretary-General to support free speech in India. Now, we need you to add your voice!

Sign the petition to Ban Ki-moon, UN Secretary Generalpriya pillai

We are so grateful for the support we have received, especially, over the past few months. Despite the clampdown on our work, we have launched a solar solutions campaign. Our demand for a Clean Air Nation is also in full swing.

We believe that India can lead the world on tackling climate change. But we need your help to create a more sustainable future for all of us!

Please sign the petition to Ban Ki-moon
