Religious leaders underline importance of diversity

Indore (Matters India): Religious diversity and tolerance was the underlying theme on the second day of the International Conference on Harmony of Religions on Sunday.

The first session of the day started with Joseph Mar Thoma, the present head of the Malankara Metropolitan of the Mar Thoma Syrian Church, Kerala, stressing on the need to follow the ideas of nonviolence and tolerance espoused by Mahatma Gandhi.

Dr. Shailesh Mehta, professor at Holistic Science and Research Centre India and USA discussed effects of negative and positive behavior on human psyche.

Professor Sun Keun Kim from Dongguk University, South Korea, Shrihariprasad Swami of Vishnu Mohan Foundation, Chennai and Dr AK Merchant, General Secretary, Temple of Understanding of India, New Delhi also graced the occasion with their presence.
