Welcome to the great KCRM-meet at Kochi on 28th February!
KCRM is organizing a get-together of those who have left priesthood or a religious order of both men and women. Those who sympathize with such are also welcome.

This meet is meant to bring together all men and women who have for whatever reason left their previous life as a member of the clergy or that of a religious group.
These respected persons deserve a worthy place in society. At the moment, unfortunately, they face many a hardship from church authorities as well as the faithful. Their life is a hard fight against odds of various kinds. Most of them receive no compensation for their year long work in their former positions in the church or institutions. Those among them who have no professional education suffer the most in their attempt to secure a job. Whatever share from their families are hard to come to because of opposition from members of the family. All this make life unbearable for them. It is the duty of the society to come to their assistance, with every respect to their individuality.
The society has to accept the fact that they are our own brothers and sisters in the first place. Besides those who have managed to get out of the life style they once chose, there are still so many who are forced to continue there because of legal and canonical entanglements forced upon them by the church and the institutions themselves. Especially women lack the courage to make a change that they badly need and earnestly hope for. Among them there are also any number of them being mishandled and abused by the clergy.
The Indian constitution gives everyone the right to choose the state of life and a suitable job. No one should be isolated or allowed to feel rejected by their fellow men just because they changed their life situation. KCRM considers them as respectful persons who have every right to find their respective place in the community and in the church, if they still are Christians. That is why it has decided to call such a meeting of all those who are concerned and interested in the matter. We are intent on working together a plan to get each and every one of the rehabilitated with due respect.
KCRM invites each and every one of the ex-priests and ex-religious, who need any help, to register their names with one of the persons given below. The readers are also requested to inform of anyone they know who need help.

വ്യത്യസ്ഥ കാരണങ്ങളാല്‍ സന്യാസസമൂഹം വിട്ടു പോന്നിട്ടുള്ളവരും സ്വതന്ത്ര ചിന്താഗതിയുള്ളവരുമായ ആദരണീയരും ബഹുമാന്യരുമായ പുരോഹിതര്‍ക്കും സന്യാസീ-സന്യാസിനികള്‍ക്കും വേണ്ടി വിപുലമായ ഒരു സമ്മേളനം കൊച്ചിയില്‍ നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. ബഹുമാന്യരും ആദരണീയരുമായ ഇവര്‍ക്ക് സമൂഹത്തില്‍ അര്‍ഹമായ അംഗീകാരമോ സംരക്ഷണമോ ഇന്ന് ലഭിക്കുന്നില്ല. സഭാ നേതൃത്വത്തില്‍ നിന്നും വിശ്വാസീ സമൂഹത്തില്‍ നിന്നും വളരെയേറെ പ്രതികൂല സാഹചര്യങ്ങളെ ഇവര്‍ക്ക് നേരിടേണ്ടി വരുന്നുണ്ടെന്നത് നിഷേധിക്കാനാവാത്ത ഒരു സത്യമാണ്.
സഭക്കും ജനങ്ങള്‍ക്കും വേണ്ടി വര്‍ഷങ്ങളോളം ജോലി ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ള പുരോഹിതരും സന്യാസിനീ-സന്യാസികളും പല കാരണങ്ങളാല്‍ പുറത്തു വരുമ്പോള്‍ സഭയില്‍ നിന്ന് ഒരു രൂപാ പോലും അവര്‍ക്ക് പ്രതിഫലം നല്‍കുന്നില്ല. സെമ്മിനാരികളില്‍ പ്രൊഫഷണല്‍ കോളേജു വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം ലഭിക്കുന്നില്ലായെന്ന കാരണത്താല്‍, പുറത്തു വരുന്നവര്‍ക്ക് തൊഴില്‍ സാദ്ധ്യത ഇല്ലെന്നു തന്നെ പറയാം. ജനിച്ചു വളര്‍ന്ന സ്വന്തം കുടുംബങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നും ലഭിക്കേണ്ട അര്‍ഹമായ സ്വത്ത് വിഹിതം സഹോദരങ്ങളോ ബന്ധുക്കളോ കൈക്കലാക്കുന്നത് കൊണ്ട് സ്വത്തുക്കള്‍ തിരികെ കൊടുക്കേണ്ടി വരുന്ന കാര്യം വരുമ്പോള്‍ കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്ന് വലിയ എതിര്‍പ്പുകളും കൈപ്പേറിയ അനുഭവങ്ങളുമായിരിക്കും ഇവര്‍ക്ക് അനുഭവിക്കേണ്ടി വരുന്നത്. സഭാനേതൃത്വത്തിന്‍റെ ഭീകരമുഖവും, ഭ്രഷ്ടും, വിശ്വാസീസമൂഹത്തില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള അപമാനവും, ഒറ്റപ്പെടുത്തലുമൊക്കെ സഹിക്കാവുന്നതിലും അപ്പുറമാണ്. ഈ ദയനീയാവസ്ഥക്ക് ഒരു പരിഹാരമുണ്ടാക്കേണ്ടത് വിശ്വാസി സമൂഹത്തിന്‍റെ കടമയാണ്.
സെമ്മിനാരികളിലും കന്യാസ്ത്രി മഠങ്ങളിലും എത്തിപ്പെടുന്നവര്‍ നമ്മുടെ സഹോദരീ-സഹോദരന്മാരാണെന്നുള്ള തിരിച്ചറിവ് സമൂഹത്തിനുണ്ടാകണം. കന്യാവൃതം ആഗ്രഹിച്ച് മഠങ്ങളില്‍ എത്തുന്ന നിരവധി സഹോദരിമാര്‍ അത് സംരക്ഷിക്കാന്‍ കഴിയാതെ നിസ്സഹായരായി മഠങ്ങളില്‍ കഴിയുന്നുണ്ട്. അവര്‍ക്ക് സഭയെയും സമൂഹത്തെയും സ്വന്തം വീടിനെയും ഭയമാണ്, ആത്മഹത്യ ചെയ്യുവാന്‍ മനസ്സ് അനുവദിക്കുന്നുമില്ല. ഇങ്ങിനെ, എല്ലാം നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട നമ്മുടെ സഹോദരിമാരെ കണ്ടില്ലെന്നു നടിക്കുവാന്‍ സാക്ഷരസമൂഹത്തിനു കഴിയുമോ? സഭാ നിയമമായ കാനോന്‍ നിയമത്തിന്‍റെ 840-)o വകുപ്പും, സഭയില്‍ നിലനില്‍ക്കുന്ന ഭൌതിക സാഹചര്യവും, പുറത്തു വരുന്ന വാര്‍ത്തകളും നോക്കുമ്പോള്‍ മഠങ്ങളിലെ നമ്മുടെ സഹോദരിമാര്‍ ഒട്ടും സുരക്ഷിതരല്ലെന്ന് കാണാം. കന്യകത്വം നഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നവരുടെ എണ്ണം നാള്‍ക്കു നാള്‍ പെരുകുന്നതായുള്ള ദുഃഖ വാര്‍ത്തകളാണ് പുറത്തു വനുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്. നല്ല കുടുംബങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നു സെമ്മിനാരികളിലേക്കോ മഠങ്ങളിലേക്കോ മക്കളെ പറഞ്ഞയക്കാത്തതിന്‍റെ കാരണവും മറ്റൊന്നല്ല.
ഇന്ത്യയില്‍ ഏതൊരു പൌരനും അയാള്‍ക്ക്‌ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട ജീവിതാന്തസ്സും മാന്യമായ തൊഴിലും തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള അവകാശവും അധികാരവും ഭരണഘടന നല്‍കുന്നു. സഭാജീവിതം വിട്ടു കുടുംബ ജീവിതത്തിലേക്കോ മറ്റേതെങ്കിലും ജീവിത സാഹചര്യത്തിലേക്കോ ജോലിയിലേക്കോ വന്നുവെന്ന ഒറ്റ കാരണത്താല്‍ ചവിട്ടി മെതിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ടവരല്ല, ആദരണീയരായ ഈ വ്യക്തികള്‍ എന്ന തിരിച്ചറിവ് ജനസമൂഹത്തിനുണ്ടാവണം. ബഹുമാന്യ സ്ഥാനങ്ങളില്‍ ഇരിക്കേണ്ടവര്‍ തന്നെയാണിവരെന്ന തിരിച്ചറിവാണ് KCRM നെ ഇത്തരമൊരു സമ്മേളനം വിളിച്ചു ചേര്‍ക്കാന്‍ പ്രേരിപ്പിച്ചത്. ഇവരുടെ മാന്യമായ പുനരധിവാസത്തിനും KCRM പദ്ധതികള്‍ ഒരുക്കുന്നു.
പുരോഹിത–സന്യസ്ഥ ജീവിതം വിട്ടു പോന്നിട്ടുള്ള കേരളത്തിലെ ബഹുമാന്യരായ മുഴുവന്‍ സന്യാസിനീ-സന്യാസികളും താഴെക്കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നതില്‍ ഏതെങ്കിലും ഒരു വിലാസത്തിലോ ഫോണ്‍ നമ്പറിലോ ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് ഈ പരിപാടിയിലേക്ക് രജിസ്ടര്‍ ചെയ്യണമെന്നു താല്‍പ്പര്യപ്പെടുന്നു. മാന്യവായനക്കാരുടെ അറിവില്‍ മേല്‍പ്പറഞ്ഞ തരത്തിലുള്ള ബഹുമാന്യര്‍ ഉണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ അക്കാര്യം ഞങ്ങളെ അറിയിക്കണമെന്ന് അഭ്യര്‍ഥിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
