Party tears apart corruption-free claims of BJP Government.

(Note: One wonders which government that ruled India was ever corruption free. None. They differed only in the height of corruption they reached but all  shout that tahey are corruption free even when  drowning in corruption.  All know that. Whoever now takes seriously the allegations of a Community party  which has now foot hold only in two  Indian states and is struggling to justify calling itself a national party? But Sudhkar Reddy helps readers to recall  and remember some of the mega scams BJP has been tainted with recently. Only it happens when Modi is shining best in his foreign jaunts. This time he  has made a big breakthrough for India by getting for it membership in the Newclear club with is not a small achievement. Even then it is good that Sudhakar Reddy reminds BJP of all stinking allegations against its Minister Sushma Swaraj and party leader Vasundhara Raje Scindia with regard to Lalit Modi's escape, Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh and allegations of corruption against other state leaders such as B.S. Yedyurappa from Karnataka, and Eknath Khadse from Maharashtra. Let us keep up reminding Modi  of his failures, but equally let us give him the credit when and where it is due. Even  the devil must be given his  due. Modi is our PM respected and looked up to with admiration by the whole world now. james kottoor, editor)

Communist Party of India national general secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy rubbished Prime Minister Narendra Modi's claims of corruption-free rule by BJP Government at the Centre and called it an establishment run by corporate bosses.

Calling attention to the allegations against Minister Sushma Swaraj and party leader Vasundhara Raje Scindia with regard to Lalit Modi's escape, Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh and allegations of corruption against other state leaders such as B.S. Yedyurappa from Karnataka, and Eknath Khadse from Maharashtra, Mr. Reddy challenged the claims to corruption-free governance by the BJP.

Lashing out at the Government for its ‘failures’, he debunked Mr. Modi’s assurance that his was a government for the poor. Service tax has been increased from 12 per cent to 15 per cent in two years and duty on petrol and diesel has gone up at least 10 times during the same time. On the other hand, corporate tax has been brought down by five per cent. Also alluding to the Government’s role in the escape of defaulting industrialist Vijay Mallya, Mr. Reddy claimed that he had availed himself of the best portion of the loans during the final years of his stint as Rajya Sabha Member.

“Select media houses and bogus surveys are attempting to manufacture consent, by cooking up arbitrary figures on the prime minister’s popularity. Going by the results of recent Assembly elections, his popularity is definitely on the wane,” Mr. Reddy said. Of the 800 seats for which elections were conducted, BJP lost deposit in 500 and the vote share has gone down in all states.

He also found fault with the delay in appointment of judges despite an emotional appeal by the Chief Justice of India, and called it an attempt to fill the judiciary with the party’s yes-men.
